Allegoria, di Eva e della Mela by pirifool Allegoria, di Eva e della Mela by pirifool
It's a potrait, it's a conceptual work... i was confuse about the section. (also the title is temporary)

An other recurrent element in my pictures: the apples. The apple has a rich symbolic meaning; and it's very nice.
She rapresents a woman, an Eva. Eva has an other "thing/concept" very used during medieval age and full of meaning very powerfull and fascinating... (but all this is not correlate to my work, i'm simply chatting)

I have make a serie which develops the nearness of woman/apple...
I like the pastel colors and the renaissance (a bit) style.

Observations: my arm is giant (!!!) and my hand has really untied articulations!

Beautiful work. Would it be possible to use this and may one or two others as a basis for a painting? Lovely work!

secondo me la cosa pi bella l'acconciatura rinascimentale. Non so, ha un che di botticelliano :D senza usare paroloni, splendida.

I can also make that pose with my hand!!!

I love the pose- the unusual position of the hand holding the apple. Goodness, I can't bend my knuckles at that angle!

Very beautiful work.

is she wondering, precautious, if she should bite it or not ?
or maybe just imagining the excitement of the forbidden ?
complimenti !

Love the sophisticated style, the seeming silence and peace with that little twist, ie. the position and articulation of the hand. (How I wish that my hands and fingers would bend like that, but I'm so stiff in my body..)
Very appealing and refined.

I absolutely love teh values in her skin. This is a captivating image; expressive. A FAV of mine. Would love to paint her. Please check out my paintings, I think she would fit in nicely. Love the classical feel and look, well done.

She's incredibly perfect
I don't recall seeing such beauty recently, so she's literally a breath of fresh air

There's something about this that is truly beautiful. I'm particularly liking the warm apple against the cool wall, and your calm expression.
The strapless dress is a great touch of modernity.
Very, very nice. :)

kickingandscreaming Featured By Owner Oct 28, 2005
everything seems wonderfully lined up in this shot except the right side of the body. it seems to twist unnaturally [perhaps you were trying to hide your right arm too much]
there may be a position for your right arm, or rotate your whole body a bit more away from the camera, otherwise it seems like you are sticking out your chest
besides that, everthing is lovely. the background has a fantastic colour and design and your expression is very well posed. i really like how your hand is too.
congrats piri!
pirifool Featured By Owner Oct 29, 2005
Thank you!
About the pose: i'm agree with your observations but it isn't a 'natural potrait', it's more conceptual. The important things here are: the arm, the apple and the face...all combined is a statuesque's not important the naturalness but the visual impact (...and geometry). This is the way I've interpreted my work :aww:

I'm just going to have to say the same as many did before me. It really looks like a painting. So gorgeous though very different from the usual "Eve" inspired images

Apple is a classic and eternal choice for some symbolic expressions. Pretty good work.

beautiful colour tones...I love that you arranged it so that the model (you) are holding the apple in an unconventional way :D

My Gosh, what is it about your work that takes me breath away? So beautiful

:+favlove: always :D
Manoureva Featured By Owner Oct 24, 2005
I've immediatly noticed the Renaissance style, particularly with your hair and the background.
Have you tried to manip it so as to make an old photography? I know it would be totally different, less conceptual too, but I'm sure that sort of manip will suit perfectly this beautiful photograph

As usual, It's a beautiful piece of your work :)
pirifool Featured By Owner Oct 24, 2005
 yes yes, all my pic are manipulated more or less!
Here I've added the background (the frame) like a soft texture that I've cancelled over the girl. I've made more uniform the tone of skin and background and removed the nasty shadow on the wall. I've arranged the hair and body shadow.
Everything is retouched but just a bit for preserve a natural feeling.
...and I admit: I'm a perfectionist, fight firmly the imperfections

Thank you dear
Manoureva Featured By Owner Oct 24, 2005
In fact, I wanted to say: have you ever tried to manipulate so as to give it an old appareance? a bit like that [link] just to try to make two different feelings with the same photo?
I know that you often manipulate your photos; I can't help doing it too :D
You're right, let's fight the imperfections! :stab:
pirifool Featured By Owner Oct 24, 2005
Yes sometimes I play with the pic in different ways and at the end i choose my favourite, that seems me more fine... sometimes is hard because I love many different styles and I'm a very indecisive person!
I've done something with an old look but I never submitted here...probably in the future... when i'll be sure about it! ;)

This is very beautiful and intense. It does speak of allegory and myth in a nice, clean way. I like the idea of Eve contemplating the apple, not sensually offering it or holding it. It's not often that she's portrayed as a whole-piece woman - we usually only see exaggerated parts.

ShelleyJackman Featured By Owner Oct 23, 2005
Beautiful :)
sacredbluelotus Featured By Owner Oct 23, 2005
well, even if you leave the concept aside, it's still a very beautiful picture, i love her pose and expression. great job
